I've been up since 3:00 ish, so I've been updating the blog, and now it's time to get ready for another flight. We got to the terminal with ease, using the Heathrow Express to get to our terminal from our hotel. Tom, one of our German "sons" and North Penn exchange student from Salzgitter in the early '90s, picked us up at the airport. We had a lovely homemade meal at his home, chatted with and he and his wife, and checked in at our hotel, which is an easy walk from their house.
Since the parents don't allow online pictures of their children, here is one of the front yard sans little Niklas, who was playing foosball with Bob.
We had fun with the German boys, aged 6 and 3. Tom and Marrtina made a delicious hot meal for lunch, and we had kaffee and kuchen later, followed by a light meal in the evening.
Not yet sunset on our walk back to the hotel at 9:15PM.
Bed by nine.
